Proside at Web Summit

On 7, 8, 9 and 10 of November Web summit took place, an event with more than 53,000 participants from all over the world. This was an event that, since it took place in our capital, made Lisbon the center of the technological world for four days.

With participants from more than 20,000 companies, from more than 150 countries, and with 21 different event venues, this was certainly the event of the year in terms of technology.

Web summit received names such as Sean Rad, Tinder co-founder and CEO; Mike Schroepfer, Facebook, CTO; Takeshi Idezawa, Line CEO, one of the most popular messaging applications in Japan, and much more. In addition to these participants and speakers we also had some national political leaders such as António Costa, Portugal Prime Minister; Durão Barros, Former President of the European Commission; Paulo Portas, Former Minister of State and Foreign Affairs; and Tiago Brandão, Education Minister and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of Portugal.

Issues like artificial intelligence, ad-blocking, autonomous driving, virtual reality, open-source or the use of medicinal cannabis were discussed at this event. Proside presented Proximo® platform, and shared its vision for the future, Proximo®2020, which aims to promote, in the ecosystem of the future cities mobility, the optimization of time management for citizens. This participation gave us the opportunity to generate new contacts for future partnerships and even future clients.

This event returns to Portugal next year where we will certainly be present once again to strengthen our network of contacts and stay abreast of the technological world news.
